Jan. 16th, 2012 04:54 pmToday I learned that creditreport.com does not require you to have the card holder name for the credit card you wish to use to purchase their services. Committing credit fraud to get your credit report? Classy.
What worries me is that this is likely a common issue based on the number of complaints online and the way the customer service rep immediately knew what to do about it. I bet they make a ton of money off people who don't check their bank statements and let the false charges go unnoticed.
They were very fast and professional about getting it all fixed though. I'll give them that. Took maybe 5 minutes. They are refunding my card and they put a block on my card and the fraudster's account to prevent the charge from happening again. Let's hope they are good for their word and all of this is taken care of now.
Now I need to call my bank and make sure this Briana B. doesn't make any other charges to my card. Bah!
