I've made the decision to quit my job. I've given myself until the 12th to give my two weeks notice.

I don't have anything lined up, which scares me a little. I was thinking I might go back to school and get an IT certification.

I'm absolutely terrified. More that I will chicken out than anything else. I'm telling as many friends as I can so they will hold me to this and I will be free of this miserable job.

I'm sorry it's been so miserable for you. Good luck on the quitting. I have enormous respect for you. I want to quit my job so bad. And yet, I'm still here.

On a side note, I just remembered that I hadn't replied to your email about cabin camping. Where were you thinking of going? And when roughly?

I was lucky that ben makes enough money for me to quit without a second job lined up. He saw how unhappy I was and told me to go for it.

As for cabining (ben doesn't think a cabin is camping), we were looking at any place withing 3-5 hours drive from dc. That gives us the range of:
- As north as southern pennsylvania
- As west as eastern west virginia
- As south as northern virginia

I've been looking for cabins in the appalachians, right now.

I'm not sure when we'll be going on this trip. A lot of things are up in the air right now between me quitting and ben taking classes. But I was thinking sometime this summer. It should be nice and cool up in the mountains, right?

I had typed cabining but couldn't decide if it needed two or three n's!

I certainly hope it's cool enough. I'm a little scared of summer this year considering how mild yet still wonky the winter was.

If the summer is too hot, even in the mountains, we can always try for early fall instead. We'll have to see how things go.
