holytoastrGood day....Have to decide what parts to write about...Debating on what I should and shouldn't say...Eh, I'll figure it out as i go along....
Yeah, so when I woke up I got Imed by Greg to remind me when everyone was meeting, cause I forget too much. But I actually remembered for once! Grrr...even wrote it down! Then Kelly told me she wasn't Nicholas Cage. And Charlie said he wasn't a "gangsta rappa." ^^; I pretty much agreed with both of those statements.
We took the streetcar downtown, and then searched out a nice place to sit. Found a good one in front of many many ladders. The ladders belonged to a bunch of evil children. The evil childrens' father tried to make us move. We said no. He said he'd get the cops. We told him go ahead. He did. The cops laughed at him. Wheeee!
We waited in the very hot sun for over an hour and parades still hadnt started yet. Kelly and Charlie had had about 3 hours of sleep beforehand, so they decided to go back and get some sleep. Otherwise they'd never make it to Bacchus. So they left.
That was good because I don't own a chair. So I was borrowing Greg's and he was sitting on the floor. When he went to take pictures, I fell asleep and didn't guard his spot on the floor and someone took it. (How rude!) So Kelly and Charlie left their chairs with us. And everyone had a seat! Yay!
Then the evil children bought silly string. *sigh* Their parents were encouraging them to play on the ladders right above us, so that we would get covered in the junk. Poor Greg got covered in it! It got all stuck in his hair and all over his clothes and all over the chair, so I moved to Kelly's seat to try to help him pick it all off. But then I got covered with the stuff! ^^; We were a sad pathetic mess.
Thankfully the parades started and the evil children were distracted. The first one was Okeanos. I didn't get much stuff from it. Jen got tons of stuff, of course. Even a pair of undies. (Best you don't ask.) *hrmph* I hate standing enxt to her. The people on the floats like her best. But that's cause she's, um...rather talented. Several people on the floats asked her to flash them. Thankfully she had the common sense to say no way.
Then we had to wait for the next parade. So we were bored and rather silly. I learned I'm ticklish on my knees. Yes, we were very very bored. And being rather silly. *poke*
Thoth started eventually. That one was really cool! And I got a lot of beads! Whee! I got ANKH BEADS!!!! How cool is that!?
Towards the end of the parade, Kelly and Charlie showed up and kicked us out of their seats. *pout*
So we decided to go on a drink run. (NOT alcohol you horrible doubting people, and you know who you are.) On our way, we saw a Lazy Boy....with a motor! It was so cool!!!! We watched as the old guy riding it drove down St Charles. Greg got a picture of it later, and if I can figure out where he uploaded it, I'll show everyone!
When we got back, we missed most of Mid-City. So I didn't get many beads from that. *sigh*
Then Greg, Charlie, and I went in search of food. But boys are silly. And won't ask for directions. So we wandered greatly. And decided that "Yay! Tetnus!" (Arg... can't spell.) And finally bought pizza.
Pappa Johns pizza is yummy. And it keeps us alive. Yay! Food!
Then um, more sillyness until Bacchus started. I got almost no beads at this one. But that's ok. It didn't matter. It was a very happy parade.
And you know what? I'm at the point of exhaustion where I don't care what people think. (Yes, I'm THAT tired!)
There was so much sillyness today because when I came over to watch tv and he was falling asleep, it was kinda on my lap. And I figured unless he was just very close with his friends, this would be a very good indicator.
So by Bacchus, sillyness had payed off. And i'm very happy!

Yeah, by the end of the night, the only time we actually separated was to try to get beads from floats.
Have I mentioned he's adorable?
He watched how everytime a marching band came by I'd cover my ears from the loud drums. So while I had my "death grip" on his sweater, he started covering my ears for me. It was so cute.
And when the bands were far enough away that they weren't too loud he made me dance with him. He's so silly.
Yup, that was pretty much all I wanted to share. You probably saw it coming.
I'm very happy!
