Sep. 6th, 2002 05:03 pmI am so glad to be done with classes for the day. I'm exhausted!!!! *collapses* And I've got so much work to do for the weekend......
Anyway, most of my classes were boring beyond belief. I had a quiz in japanese though. Kelly and Jenn had helped me study for it last night. I'm sure I got 100%!!!! :D It was exactly what she told us to study.
Then, because it's friday, we got to do "fun" activities. First we sang a song in japanese. *a a a a, a i u e o....* (Hehe...that's all I was able to translate so far...) It was a song that they use to teach pre schoolers their alphabet. Sensei said it was from a very popular kids show. ^^; She said that from there, the boys go to pokemon and stuff, and the girls go to sailor moon and such. When she mentioend sailor moon, many people's eyes lit up in the class. That makes me very happy.
Then we watched some anime. I swear, it was japans version of sesame street. It was brought to you by the sounds "ka ki ku ke ko" and "ga gi gu ge go." It was to teach us how to write the sounds in hiragana. It was amusing.
Howver, walking back to my room was not. During class it had started to pour. When class was over, it was still pouring. And me without and umbrella!!!! Needless to say, I got soaked. Every time I thought, "well, this isn't THAT bad..." it would POUR HARDER!!!!
I had a warm bowl of soup for lunch while I dried off. Then I had to go to student employment for a stupid research ques. I figured it would be a simple, no need to think assingment. Nope. All I wanted to do was look at a few job descriptions. But there were none on any desks or walls or anything. WHY IS A JOB DESCRIPTION SUCH SECRETIVE INFORMATION!!?!?!?!? They had to get the supervisor to come and talk to me, which took forever, with him telling me he's not allowed to give out that info unless I'm looking for a job. It was too late for me to fake looking for one, so I had to keep being persistent. Eventually I got him to give me a list of jobs from lat year, but no descriptions. *SIGH* I'll ahve to make due.....
And don't get me started on philosophy today...... I think I'm just going to give up and start my weekends homework.
