holytoastrOk, I've decided to type now, while I'm still partially awake. I'm pretty sure a hot shower will lull me to sleep and that will be the end of me for the rest of the day.
Went to a few parades this evening. No wait, I guess by now it's last evening. ^^;
I'm not sure which ones they were. I'm too tired. But after I get some sleep, I'll go check. But they were pretty.
Then we got ready to go to the Crow Bar. It was having a Lundi Gras costume party. Since I wasn't invited along until that day, I didn't have time to go out and make a costume. So I was Death, Greg was a vampire, Charlie was a pirate, and Kelly was the priest from the exorcist.
Had to walk a bit to get to where we were going. Lots of tourists were amused by us! A strange drunk woman shouted to Greg, Kelly and I, "You ladies look so beautiful tonight!!!" Poor Greg...I tried to reasure him it was only because she was very very drunk. Awww.
We got to the Crow around midnight. It's a very nifty place! It's one of those bars that are actually an alley in the middle of a block. So you duck in there and you can either crawl through a hole in the wall (literally) to get to the main area with the bar and the dancing for the tourists, or you can climb up into the attic where they've got nice chairs and beds and couches. After saying hi to a bunch of people downstairs, we went upstairs.
For a while it was kinda crowded up there and we had to share seats cause there was no room. But then a group of people left and the four of us took over the bed. It was cozy and I was falling asleep. Lots of random people took pictures of us. Lots of people said we all looked so cute all cuddled up. Greg was saying how when he gets the ra position and has a room big enough, he's going to build himself a bed like that. I am amused.
So around 4 we decided to leave. We went to Cafe du Monde, but got take out because we were tired of people telling us we should get home before sun-up and stuff like that.
On our way home, a tourist stopped and asked if he could have a picture with us! Hehe! We're local flavor!!!
Then we walked from the quarter to napoleon before we found a streetcar. Let me just say, that is a LONG WALK! We got to see the sun rise! Wheee!!!
Now I should shower and get all this makeup off. Greg said I looked very cute with all my goth make up on. Then I shall sleep. So tired.....
