Now where was I? Oh yeah, the Lundi Gras party!

Everyone else had a costume (well, not Jen, she wasn't coming) planned out. But I was only invited this morning so I didn't know what I should be.

So while Greg was digging through his closet for Charlie's costume, he was looking for stuff for me. But everything he found was too big. ^^; I'm so short! I could have easily used one of the shirts as a dress.

Everyone was sitting and thinking and I was playing with the hat. And then Greg asked Kelly if she had a black tank top that I could borrow. But she said none that would fit me. ^^; I'm so tiny...

I was a bit confused, but then Greg said he thought I could make a good Death! Wheeee!!! And he had hever seen the picture from

taraisagoddess's halloween party. So I was greatly amused. And in fact, I had the outfit to wear with me. (Well, I bought new jeans for it over the vacation.) So I ran over to my room and got changed.

Then I went to Kellys cause she needed to get changed. And I got to see everyone in costume! Whee!!! So cute!

Then Jen helped me with my make up cause I can't use eyeliner for the life of me. Greg was laughing at how twitchy I was. ^^; I hate eyeliner.

And then when I was all done and dressed and pretty I came out of the bathroom and Greg just stared so I'm going to take that as a good thing. So adorable. >^^<

Then we took pictures. Wheee!!! Go look at them at Losers Away! Isn't he adorable?

It was close to midnight but we decided to try the schools new free shuttle thing downtown. That involved walking through campus all dressed up. A couple of drunks were very confused. Hehe!

Then on the shuttle a whole bunch of drunks looked at us and started saying you know, I think I'm having dejavu. Which confused us greatly, cause when have they ever been on a bus with a vampire, Death, a pirate, and a preacher? Silly drunks. I think we confused them.

The shuttle actually got us downtown really fast! Then we wandered through the quarter to get to the crow bar. We had to cross Bourbon. ::shudders:: Creepy old guys were looking at me and kelly....

Thankfully we just had to cross it, and not walk on it for too long.

And some drunk guy started screaming he loved the renaissance. We walked past him a bit faster. Then some very very drunk woman started yelling the Greg, Kelly and I that we ladies looked beautiful tonight. Poor greg...i had to give him a hug to make him feel better. And reassured him that the woman was just very very very very drunk. ^^;

So we got to the crow a little after midnight and we wandered upstairs and downstairs a bit saying hi to lots of people that I've never met before and one or two that I have.

Then we hung out downstairs for a bit. It was literally a hole in the wall! Well, there was an entrance with real doors, but that was because a drunk tourist would never be able to coordinate through the hole.

We sat there for a bit watching the drunk tourists cause they were amusing. They were trying to dance and it was silly. Then Greg was making me dance. Well, sorta. I was laying down and he took my arms and was moving them around so that it looked kinda like I was dancing. ^^;;

Then there was this scary guy in costume wearing gold shorts that were a bit too tiny for him. So I crawled up into a little ball. Then I fell in the fireplace. (Don't ask how I managed that.) It was a good thing it was empty. Otherwise I would have gotten all dirty!

So we hid upstairs in the attic. That's where all the refugees from Pirate's Alley live now. They got kicked out of Jackson Square because the city felt their store didn't reflect the personality of the city. So now they have a pretty little coffee shop in the attic.

But it was all crowded! We had to share seats until a group of people abandoned a bed. Then the bunch of us took that, it was comfier and there was more room.

Random people, some of which I've actual met before kept wandering over and saying stuff like "how cute!" One of them took a picture! ^^; And random strangers were talking to us, but I have no idea what any of them said.

And it's decided that when Greg gets the ra job, he's going to build a big fancy bed thingie like that cause he'll have lots of extra room. That amuses me!

And then when it was really late we decided to elave. We went to Cafe du Monde and got drinks and then wandered in the general direction of St Charles, but we took lots of fun little roads in the quarter to look at all the shops.

There was a store with lots of little soldiers and stuff and there was a tiny little Hitler. Kelly can't decide if it's incredibly cute or incredibly disturbing.

We saw a church that had Touch-Down Mary(tm)!!! So Greg took a picture, to go with Touch-Down Jesus(tm) at the Loyola campus. He looked like he was breaking into the church when he was taking it. "Yes, I need salvation THAT badly!"

*pout* I got hot chocolate on my nose! But he said that I looked extra cute pouting in goth make up. >^^<

And a tourist asked for our picture! Whee!!!

We walked nearly the entire way home. I wouldn't voluntarily do it again, but it was fun! Then we found a street car at Napoleon and I fell asleep. But only for a little bit, cause we got to campus really quickly.

As we were walking back to our dorms, there were people heading out to the parades for that day.

*whew* Taht's pretty much it! Now I can go start my homework! Whee......
