My mother the lizard?

Just talked to my mom. After the usual, "why don't you call us?" and "how are things at school?" and "let me tell you about [distant relative]'s [bowel mov'ts, rashes, or other really gross health problem]." she casually mentions she chopped off part of her thumb.

Yes, her thumb. Yes, chopped off.

And you know what? I'm really not that concerned. A few monthes ago she chopped off her pinky. Had to go to the hospital. They said there wasn't much they could do. She'd have to live without the top centimeter or so of her finger.

The top of her pinky grew back.

Nail and all! I don't understand it. I think my mom's part lizard or something. Even the doctors aren't quite sure how it was possible.

Yeah, so this time it's her thumb. Same situation.

Let's see if it grows back?
