Jun. 28th, 2003 12:59 pmI'm on the old computer. It's supposed to be fixed. The sound doesn't work though. And it has mom's settings on it which means everything is ABSOLUTELY HUGE!!!!! I feel like I should sit across the room to use it, but the mouse doesn't reach that far.
Rather than deal with frustrating computers last night, I finally sat down to read A Gift of Dragons, by Anne McCaffrey. I had read the first three stories before in other collections. This time, however, they were illustrated. That was spiffy. The last story was new. It was pretty god in the self-indulgent Mary Sue kind of way. You knew from the start that the twins would both impress dragons. You could even guess that they's get a gold and bronze. All the stories run like that, but they're still fun to read. The trick is, there are so many personality types in the books, you're sure to find a character like you. That's where the Mary Sue part comes in, as it's like you're reading yourself into the story. Goofy fun all in all.
Then I watched some tv. It was attack of the cheesy vampire movies. I'm not joking. Every channel had some sort of old cheesy vampire movie on. I really can't watch most movies multiple times, so I gave up. Sleep is niiiiiiiice.
This morning I woke up, ate breakfast, cleaned out the bird's cages, and showered. I'm supposed to clean more today. That's why I'm here. I'm hiding. :)
Dad and my brother went fishing this morning. They caught stuff, but they let the fish go. I approve. I feel bad for the fishes. But then again, I feel bad for all animals that get eaten. ^^;
