holytoastrYesterday we went to grandma's for her birthday. There was lots of food that I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO EAT despite starvation. I had to wait until we got dealt with walmart.
Mom had bought grandma a new phone and answering machine. But when we opened the box, it was an old phone and answering machine from a completely different company!!!! So, we had to bring the phone back to walmart to exchange it for a real phone. They gave us a hard time, accusing US of switching the phones. In the end they refused, on account that we didn't go back to the exact store we bought the phone from. Mom had to buy a new phone there for grandma, and she's going to get a refund from the walmart she bought the other one from. I fear what she may do to them if they refuse.
Finally, after all that, we could eat! Yay! It was all quite yummy but poor grandma couldn't eat the bbq ribs (her favorite) because she doesn't want to mess with her gallbladder under she has her operation. Gramdpa was mean and teasing her, but we all yelled at him.
We got the food from Zorns. It's sorta like Boston Market, except a thousand times better.When I was little, they used to ahve a set of cages to the side of the building. Inside were chickens and ducks and turkeys! Mom used to let me watch them while she ordered our food. When we came back today, the bird cages were gone.I guess it just got too much to pay for their upkeep. Or perhaps people didn't like to be reminded that they were going to eat those fellow's kin.
Well, at least the food was still good. When we were pickijg the food up, they were bringing out HOT freshly baked apple pies! Mmmmmmm! They looked delicious! However, mom wouldn't buy one for me. She did agree to a small tub of rice pudding though, so I was content.
After grandma's birthday party, laura came over and we watched much shiny anime. I subjected her to the Big O. I want to be dorothy (sp?). I want a cd player in my head.
We also watched the first 7 eps of a show called Gravitation. It was a bit strange at time, a little random, very angsty, and all yaoi. Nothing graphic, of course. It was pretty good. I wouldn't rush out to buy it, but if someone had the last eps, I would ask to borrow it, jsut to see what happens in the end.
And wow, I'll be back at school in two weeks. I sorta feel like I wasted my summer, even though I KNOW I did so much. Ah well, I'm sure it's a perfectly normal feeling.
Anyway, I was supposed to go out with amanda today, but she'd got family obligations. I'll continue working on costumes and finishing up anime.
AND THINKING HAPPY NEIL THOUGHTS SO THAT HE AGREES TO LET ONE OF MY FRIENDS INTERVIEW HIM. *twitch* Returning to school may be a good thing. Maybe I'll find my sanity somewhere in a box.
Ah yes, one more thing. The new Tuxedo Kamen for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (live action) series. His name is Shibue Jyoji.
