I smell like amusement park water.
Sep. 14th, 2003 09:23 pmKelly and Charlie took Megan and I to JAZZLAND!!!!! (That's Six Flags New Orleans to those who can't remember far enough back.)
I have wanted to go there well, since I knew it existed. I heard tales of pirate rides and Jean Laffitte! It became one of my goals in life. I HAD to go there one day. Just had to!
So today was my day and I was so terribly excited. Much bouncingness and joy.
The first ride we did was a PIRATE SHIP!!!! Yarrrrr!!!!! It make my tummy jump and I screamed like a little girl! Then we went on Muskrat Scrambler where my tummy jumped and I screamed like a little girl again!
Then....the giant woden roller coaster. Sheer terror throughout my soul. I think the book said it was a 110 foot drop! The entire way there I was whimpering and being a general amusement park weenie. But I did it. I went on the huge scary coaster. And I didn't die! *accomplished*
We went on water rides too! Got horribly soaked! Giant walls of water dropping on me! Wheeee!
Another ride I liked was the Jean Laffitte Pirate Ride! It starts with a historian going "Grrr! Pirates are evil!" Followed by Laffitte himself going, "But I'm a privateer!" Then there was a simulation part that was spiffy, but too short. And the second time we went on it, it broke. *sad* No more pirates....
We also saw a Batman Stunt Show which was amazingly awful. Like, painfully so. But at least I can say I've seen it and now I never have to deal with it again. And I got to play in a nearby fountain. Wheee!
Everyone tried to help me and Megan win giant plushies. I wanted a wolf one. However, we were terrible at ring toss and did not win. As a consolation prize, we got three basketball playing mr potato heads. They are truly terrifying. I gave mine to kelly. Perhaps she can peg a small child with it during mardi gras.
Wheeeee...today was just ever so much fun.
Woah, and was the teen titans theme song in japanese just now? *confused*
Anyway! Time to get some homework done!
