holytoastrYes, so I went to layout last night. It was actually quite satifying. If I was layout editor, I'd put new people in charge of ads. That's what I did last night and it was wonderful. There was much less worrying about messing up, and the repetition really helped me learn the program that was used.
So, this friday, take a look at all the ads in the hullabaloo. I put every single one of those in. Go me. I feel quite proud of myself. Much better than when they flung me at news and I had no clue what I was doing.
Feeling better with myself then, I made dinner and read Brave New World and did various school related STUFF.
I had work at 1. I got an amazing amount of schoolwork done at the desk last night. Wrote my entire japanese composition for my test on monday. Also did quite a bit of reading and studying. Go me. About 4 o clock I was just too tired to think anymore and crochetted for the rest of the shift. Bed never looked so wonderful after that.
I had some serious trouble in japanese today. I was just TOO TIRED to think/read/talk. It was pretty bad. Sensei asked me what time it was, and I couldn't even figure out how to say it in ENGLISH! I kinda just showed her my watch and hoped she'd figure it out.
We played a game in class! A real game! I'm so happy that we're playing games again. They lighten up the atmosphere and make it seem a little less like a bootcamp. Annnnnd, our team won today! :D Go us!
After class I showed sensei the essay I wrote. Let me tell you, writing an essay IN JAPANESE at 2 in the morning is never a clever thing. It was good that I showed it to her. She helped and made a lot of corrections for me. This weekend I'm going to practice writing it a lot so that I will ahve no trouble on my test!
Also, I had to go to the healthy center today. I needed to sign an insurance waiver form which I've enver had to do before. But it was simple enough to figure out and didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would.
With my extra time I went to check my mailbox. Mommy sent me my copy of 1602 #2!!!! *squeal* I love neil!!!! I'm loving how he's going about this story. Though, I didn't realize capt. america AT ALL. Greg had to tell me that one. ^^;;; And what's the deal with Virginia Dare? WHO IS SHE!?!?!?!? I need more issues! I msut find out! I need to reread what I've got. Oh, I am so loving this series.
But alas, my geeky joy had to be put on hold as I had british literature. Booooo....Tht class is so boring. It even made a lecture on brave New World tedious! And I love that book! Bah! Oh, and he told us our essay topic. Well, more like told us, "Write an essay. On a book. 7 pages. With 3 outside resources." And that was it! I have no clue what I'm going to write about! Dooom I tell you! DOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
Heh, anyway, I am going to be a good girl soon and shower. Then I'm going to read until I have to go to work.
