Yay for stuff!
Dec. 25th, 2003 04:06 pmYesterday was fun! :)
Even though I had massive amounts of cookies to bake, dad decided to get me out of the house. (Probably cause mom had to wrap gifts.)
First we went to joannes so I could pick up a zipper and some interfacing for the dress I'm making. I got a senior citizen discount. :P
We stopped off at dunkin donuts and filled ourselves up on sugar. Then we went to sports plus. I played ddr! Lots! :) I could barely walk when I was through! Hehe! I even made my brother play!
We killed a good amount of time there, so we finally returned home. Thus, I began baking cookies. And I baked and baked and baked for hours. Here's something to think about. Each sheet of cookies took 10 minutes to bake. I had two trays going so that SOMETHING was ALWAYS in the oven. It took me HOURS to bake all the cookies.
Towards the end, I started to get a little nutty....

Behold the Fellowship of the Ring in all their chocolately goodness. Beginning in the top left hand corner and going clockwise: Aragorn (with sword and manly stubble), Gimli (with axe and fuzzy beard), Legolas (with a bow and sword), Gandalf the Gray (with sword and staff), Merry (with dagger and trees on his hand), Sam (with only a sword. He had so much to carry, being the packmule and all, I decided to give him a break), Frodo (with the one ring), Pippin (with dagger and pipe), and Boromir (with sword, horn of gondor, and little x's over his eyes cause he's dead).
By this point I had eaten about half the frosting that was supposed to go on the cookies. So I was a bit giddy....

In the center we've got Sauron, as the giant floating eye of doom. Starting from the top left hand corner and going around Sauron: Treebeard, Gollum, The Ring, Sauramon (with staff and glowing orb of doom), Galadriel (with super curly hair of doom and pretty elf ring), and Elrond (with agent smith sunglasses).
After I had calmed down (which took a long time), Dad and I watched Muppet Christmas Carol. Then I was sent off to my room where I stayed up sewing until 3 in the morning.
Eventually I tried to sleep, but I kept having Christmas dreams. I ended up waking up much too early and sitting around while my parents fed the dogs and whatnot. Then they made us eat breakfast before we could unwrap gifts! So cruel!
I really am very spoiled. I got a lot of nice things this year. A lot more stuff than I deserve. Some of the top things were a cotton candy maker, many many books, framed copies of the Tulane Chibi Association (Megan, you should see them! It's so cool!), a tub of twizzlers, a carebear toothbrush, and tickets to not only Little Shop of Horrors but The Producers as well! :D
I got a whole bunch of other stuff too. Most of the clothes needs to be returned. It's all waaaay too big. That makes me sad because they were all jeans. I need more jeans. :P
Mom also got me cooking stuff. Tiny cake pans and cupcake trays. Does anyone kow what you cook in a fondue pot? I mean, besides cheese. Can I make chocolate in it? What do I do with this thing? :P
Heh ^^; Anyway, must go finish cleaning the house! We've got company coming over in about an hour!
Merry Christmas!!! :)

Date: 2003-12-25 07:20 pm (UTC)It's a mini fondue pot though, so I don't think the meat idea would work. But chocolate would! :D
