I had a dream last night that all the power in the country went out. Most people who lived in relatively close driving distance (local states) left school and went home. The rest of us who live stupidly far away decided to stay. My friends who stayed all gathered together in kelly and greg's apt. And, this being the most sedate dream ever, we sat around reading, doing homeowrk, and generally bumming around. At some point we sent the boys out to buy candles. A lot of people seemed really concerned, but I wasn't for some reason. I was glad that I didn't ahve to go to school and that I had plenty of time to sleep and I was with my closest friends. It was the first peaceful dream I've had in a really long time.

There was an odd subplot to the dream where men were trying to recieve charity from others by dressing as women. So this strange guy that claimed he knew me kept asking to borrow a skirt. I got rid of him by pretending I only spoke japanese. He would point to a random perosn passing by (which happened to be a girl in a school uniform) and say "skirt." To which I'd question, "seifuku?" Eventually he got frustrated and gave up.

Well, it could just be because I was speaking in japanese. :P

Have you read the writings of the time traveler, John Titor? One of the things he describes is a massive infrastructure breakdown (due to the cities being nuked). Life in the possible future is harder, but simpler.

Actually, I have. And I actually thought about that when I woke up. It probably inspired the dream slightly.
