Aug. 12th, 2006 03:49 pmWow, I just wrote away more than half this month's paycheck in loans. That makes me very very sad. Sadder still is I haven't received my regular bills for the month yet. T_T
The good news is I'm more than half paid up on my car loan. I can tell because the suggested monthly payment this month was a joke. I guess they calculate it by taking what I owe and dividing it by the number of months I agreed to pay it in. When I first bought the car, the monthly payments were about $400. Now they are $50. I'm going to feel very accomplished when I get it down to the single digits.
I guess I shouldn't complain about being poor since I'm paying well over the minimum payment for all my loans. If I really needed to, I could pay less. But I'm really looking forward to the day when I'm debt free. It will be a mighty mighty day. I will do a little dance.
