Jan. 24th, 2007 10:15 amI think captain flint is lonely. Lately she wants to spend all her time with ben and myself. She gets very upset when we leave her alone, even if I'm sitting in the same room a her. She'll scream and scream until I pick her up and place her on my lap. Last night she even flew onto my hand as soon as I walked into the room!
She is also very bad when she's alone. Last night she flew over to ben's table and pooped all over his plates. Sometimes she'll go into my sewing room and try to chew things apart. And she stops preening when she's alone. When I came back from christmas, she hadn't touched her feathers. The first day back with her on my lap, she did a week's worth of preening in one hour. It was a horrible feathery mess.
I'm starting to consider getting captain flint a friend. But I worry she'll become too unfriendly after that. Plus ben doesn't want another bird. He thinks they're filthy and noisy.
I wouldn't mind having her sit with me all evening while I'm at home, but she beats up noname. So noname sits on the floor crying and begging attention from me too. Poor needy animals. :( I wish they could get a long so I didn't feel like I was spending too much attention with one or the other.
