Sep. 13th, 2007 09:27 amNoname was feeling much better this morning. I would say she's 98-99% cured. She's still a little sluggish on stairs and chasing squirrels, but for everything else she's her normal hyper bouncy self. That makes me happy.
On the other hand, I am probably going to die. This morning I developed an intensely sharp pain just below and slightly to the right of my belly button. Maybe it's appendicitis.

Sep. 12th, 2007 04:34 pmMy dog has been sick this week, but not in any clear sort of way. She's very sluggish on her walks, but other than that she acts perfectly normal. Her appetite is normal, she's regular, there's no mucus, she isn't vomiting, she has no signs of infections or swelling.... I don't know what's wrong with her.
I was panicking a bit on monday, but by tuesday she looked better. And today she looks even better. On the first day she couldn't do even 1/4 of her walk. Tuesday she managed about 1/3. Today she did nearly 1/2. So maybe she just had a little cold that's working out of her system?
She doesn't appear to be in pain. She just seems tired. Which would make sense if she's fighting off a cold or something.
I think if she's getting noticeably better, there isn't a reason to worry too much. Especially if whatever it is isn't affecting her appetite or causing her to vomit or anything like that. But if she starts getting sick again, I'll bring her to the vet.
In the mean time, I think I'm going to make her some chicken soup. If it works well enough for humans, I'm sure it'll be good for my dog.

May. 5th, 2007 11:00 pmNoname was much better this morning. She was a little sluggish at first, but after she got some water and went for a walk, she was her normally happy self. She was even chasing squirrels towards the end. And then she ate all her breakfast without throwing any of it up. I guess yesterday she just had a short stomach virus. I'm glad she's better. I was all set to rush her off to the vet if she hadn't improved.
Instead ben and I went on an adventure to the comic book store. They moved to a new location and since it was free comic book day, ben and I thought we should check it out. Unfortunately today was also some town fair thing in the shopping center of the new store. I ended up cranky and parked in the mud. Bah.
I had thought all my comics would have been moved to the new store, but it turns out they were still at the old one. So after gathering my free comics, we went to the old store to pick up my regular comics. I hadn't picked them up in a long time so there were a lot of them. The total pile was mighty. It took me all afternoon to read.

In the evening ben and I watched The Grudge 2. It had many horrible noises in it.
I'd like to go to sleep soon but I think I'll wait up a bit longer. Ben's at the end of his video game. Maybe he won't stay up all night tonight! :)

May. 5th, 2007 03:36 amHow every girl wants to spend her Friday night/Saturday morning....Cleaning up dog poop and dog vomit!
Noname is sick. Really sick. She is throwing up, has diarrhea, and is very warm to the touch. If she doesn't improve (I'm hoping she got rid of whatever made her sick onto the carpet) by the morning, I'll take her to the vet.
