Apr. 2nd, 2007 07:31 pmToday was long and painful. I spent the entire day picking apart run-on sentences. I was also supposed to add more "emotion" to the copy, but that didn't happen. I almost considered working late to get it done, but I figured it would take at least 3 more hours. So that can wait for tomorrow.
After work I got to deal with the delightful people of virginia. I had to go buy a plunger, so I stopped at home depot on the way home. First a horrible old man tried to run into my car. It was a four-way stopped and I had started moving when he flew around the corner and right through the stop sign. Nearly hit my car! If it wasn't one of those weirdly shaped intersections, he would have!
Then I ended up having to park clear at the end of the parking lot because all the spots near the store were taken by people so important, they had to park across two spaces. I swear, every spot in the front. I don't normally curse, but I didn't know how else to deal with that situation.
Plunger was eventually achieved. I brought it home and ben fixed the toilet in under a minute. I've been so delighted to have a working toilet that I've been announcing my intentions every time I get up to go to the bathroom.
After fixing the toilet, ben gave me many hugs so that I'd stop screaming about the horrible people in this state. Once I was calm, I took my dog for a walk. She chased squirrels. It made her very happy.
While on the walk, I saw this really cool bird! I looked it up later and found out it was a Pileated Woodpecker. It was so absorbed with eating bugs that it didn't notice as I got within a yard of it! But then my dog chased it away. Pooo...
