Jul. 22nd, 2005 02:17 pmOnce again I am reading this Guerrilla Marketing book. It is so outdated and confused that it makes me weep. It actually suggests you hand out screensavers to customers if you are a computer consultant. Perhaps they meant let them download it, like lots of movie sites do, but in the sentence it implies that screensavers are a tangible object to put in someone's bag.
"If you are a computer consultant, handing out keychains makes no sense whatsoever. But handing out small guides to softwares makes a lot of sense. So do mousepads and screensavers."
Poor wording I think. :P
Got to love a book written in 1998. It also talks about the amazing potential of the internet. And suggests that perhaps in the near future, most direct mail will be done over the internet. Wow! Can you believe such a crazy thing?
