Oct. 19th, 2005 09:09 amI return from the land of the dead! Huzzah!
Being sick was no fun. I was going through fits of insanity from feeling so awful.
On sunday...Or was it monday? Well, whenever. One of those days I got upset because ben wouldn't walk my dog. (Me thinking: He doesn't want to walk my dog? But I'm sick! He must hate me!) I refused to lay next to him and when he asked what was wrong I told him, "Nothing."
Now, I always thought my boy was smart. He should know that when a girl says "Nothing" she means "EVERYTHING!" But he just rolled over and went back to sleep which made me cry more. Then I was crying harder because "HOW could he lay there and let me cry without comforting me!?"
With the sickness and the sadness I eventually went crazy and ran into the living room to be self destructive. After that was a complete failure, I bashed on the walls and furniture for a bit to work out my frustration.
Ben came out to find out why I was being so loud. But then he went away. Eventually I worked up the nerve to demand that he comfort me. We talked it out and he was confused and I was confused and it was all just really bad but we resolved it and I got some sleep and felt better when I woke up.
After that, we watched some movies together. The first one we TRIED to watch was "What the bleep do we know?" It was so bad, we couldn't even finish it. It was absolute garbage. It was thinly veiled new age spirituality propaganda. It tried to use quantum physics to explain that we control the world with our minds.
Now, I'm not an expert on quantum physics, but I do know enough of it to know that that is not part of the theory. The movie was just a giant mess of half-truths being spouted by people in suits to look official. I would not recommend that film.
The second movie we watched was Brazil. It was a Terry Gilliam film. I didn't like that one either. I couldn't follow what was going on and it felt like it was never going to end. Every time it got to an ending, it went on a little longer. But from what I read on imdb, this film had lots of issues with studios changing things and making Gilliam crazy. Perhaps that was the problem. Well, either way, I won't be watching it again.
And I should probably get to work now. Bleh. Sleepy. And there's more I want to update about.

Date: 2005-10-19 04:59 pm (UTC)Carpooling sounds like the better plan. It's good for everyone. :)
Ben probably won't be able to go, since he has to work both days this weekend. So either day is cool with me.
Also, my email is really easy to remember too. It's my lj name + @gmail.com. ;)
