Day 2 of my disney trip: Animal Kingdom!

The center of the park was the Tree of Life. In order to access any area in the park, you had to track back to this tree. It was kinda annoying. But the animals carved into the tree were pretty neat. I liked trying to see how many I could spot.

One of the big rides at Animal Kingdom was the African Safari. On it, they take you through the Harambe Wildlife Refuge full of...

Elephants!

And gators! (Careful not to fall into the water!)

And giraffes! They walked right by our car.

And lions! Roar!

And ostriches! This one got so close, I could have touched it. (If I didn't want to get bit.)

And plenty of other animals. It was neat.

Wandering around the park, we also saw okapi. They're known as the ghosts of the forest because they are so elusive. They look related to zebras but actually they are closer to giraffes.

Oh! And there were BABY MEERKATS! I love meerkats. They are so so cute.

My favorite part of the park was Dinoland USA. I wish I had had more time to play in it. Oh well, there's always next time.

They had a replica of SUE!!! (Notice my huge geeky grin.) Sue is the most complete t-rex skeleton ever found. I was really happy to see even a replica.

For the record, Rafiki's Planet Watch was completely annoying to get to. You have to take a train! But one of my goals for the day was to hug a goat, so I had to go.

There, I met klepto-goat. This goat kept trying to steal everyone's stuff. It tried to take my sweatshirt!

Ewww....goat spit....

And that's animal kingdom. It was a neat park, but it had a lot of major flaws. I don't think I'll go again until they add another ride or two.
