Posting from the future again. (AKA the airport)

The new jet blue terminal is pretty nice. Not as futuristic as other airports I've been to, but there are magic tvs that allow you to order food and it will be brought to you. That's sorta futuristic I guess.

Everyone is eying each other for swine flu. The security lady made everyone stand outside arm's reach so she wouldn't get sick. And was teaching her coworkers this crazy elbow handshake which she insisted would protect her from germs.

I am excited to be going home. It has been a very long week. I miss ben and noname so much!
Ben had a 6am flight. :(

We didn't get to bed as early as I would have liked, and then ben was too nervous to sleep. I tried to help him calm down a bit, but I sorta worry I might have fallen asleep in mid-sentence.

And then we almost overslept and missed his flight! Ben kept putting the sleep timer back on over and over again. When I finally asked him what time it was, he told me, "Stan's talking some shit about abalone." The sad part was I was so tired I almost accepted that as an asnwer. But I came to my senses and checked the clock myself to see we had overslept by an hour and a half!

At least the airport is close. Got him there in 15 minutes. I wish I could have had more time to hug him goodbye before he had to go though. I'm going to really miss him. :(

Driving home was a sad adventure. In the airport, several people tried to pull into my sides. Then I missed my exit, got horrible lost (So much so that I nearly pushed the onstar button. One more second and I would have, but I saw a familiar road as I was lifting my arm), and ended up going in the wrong direction for a good 15 minutes. So it took less than 15 minutes to get to the airport, and about 30 to get home. Yup, that sounds about right for my life. Well, at least ben got to the airport on time.

I'm going back to bed now. I bet the bed is still warm. I'm going to steal ben's spot. I miss him already.
I am glad to be home. :)

Backtracking a bit though, on monday I picked up my car. What was supposed to be a quick "get in sign the papers hand over the money get the keys drive out" turned out to be a three hour long ordeal. Because I was taking the car to VA to get it registered and stuff, there's a lot of extra paperwork that needs to be done. The dealership was supposed to do that before I got there. But they didn't. Poooo.... So I had to sit around and wait forever until the paperwork was all sorted out. But then I had a new car! Yay!!!

Laura came over after that. She made my last day at home much more bearable. We watched PGSM and ate twizzlers and I used her as a pillow. I called ben while we were watching and I think we confused him. We also established that laura must be a princess because she can't remember her past.

The next morning I woke up far too early to pack the car, but still managed to leave later than I wanted. I was on the road by 10 and in traffic by 10:30. I continued to sit in traffic until after the merge on the NJ turnpike. Then for a short while I got to try out my shiny new cruise control.

But then I hot more traffic. Poooo. So at 2, my dog and I stopped for lunch. I bought her french fries. That made her very happy. Also the chance to pee after 4 hours made her happy.

Then back on the road, with lots and lots of traffic. Ben called me and we talked for a lot of it. That made the traffic a bit more bearable. Strangely enough, thinks started moving again when I got halfway through 495. I had really expected that part of the ride to be the worst. Especially during rush hour! I guess everyone was off from work.

Ben's flight was delayed, so I took a nap waiting for him. When I went to pick him up, I got to drive around the airport many many times while waiting for ben to get his bags. The police wouldn't let me stop and wait. Stupid police.

I was so happy to see ben again! I missed him so much! :) He looked like he was happy to see me too. :D

We got fast food for dinner because we were both too tired to make anything. Then went to bed. I was sooooo tired! I slept really well! Being home is a good thing!

Hmmm, I think now I'm going to go back to bed for a bit. Then I'm going to clean and do laundry and wash dishes. Oh, and pay bills. They are all due next week. Oh! And ship christmas gifts! (Now that there are no lines at the post office. Yes, I am a bad person.)
