Feb. 7th, 2007 10:33 pmSilly me to try to install something on my computer. Now I've got a program that won't show me when it's running and has blocked off my access to my other desktops. I'll have to ask ben what I did wrong this time.
Bleh. I took a nap after work and I feel really horrible. I knew I'd get nasty stuff in my throat is I took a nap. :( I don't know if it's worth coughing the stuff up since I plan on going back to bed soon anyway.
Also in line with my disappointment for today, I signed up for a folder at the comic book shop. It was a bit of a battle. They wanted 5 ongoing titles before signing me up. That's pretty tough for me since I prefer limited runs. I only had 4 ongoing titles. (And 3 limited ones.) To get what I wanted I acted super sweet and nice while asking for an exception. It worked, though they tried to talk me into getting another title. I politely told them I'd think about trying it out and if I liked it I would add it to the list. And I don't even get a discount! You need 10 titles for that. My comic shop in new orleans (More Fun Comics) spoiled me with their wonderfulness. Their folder demands weren't so strict and they gave discounts just for having a folder. Plus they were always super nice to me. (They would sometimes give me discounts before I had a folder just for being a regular.) I'm thinking of writing them a letter to tell them how much I miss how fantastic they were. Would that be too weird? Something short that says something like, "I moved 2 years ago but I still miss how nice and fantastic you guys were. The comic shops around here are nowhere near as nice." That's not too weird, right? :P
[EDIT] Last night there was a horrible scary noise outside. It's back tonight. I'm not sure I can walk my dog.
