The universe continues to move faster than I can keep up.

Amanda came to visit. I didn't get off from work, so she had to sit around and wait all afternoon for me. I felt awful about it. And then I felt worse when I realized there was something I absolutely had to pick up from the store before I came home, so amanda had to wait even longer.

So we eventually got home to let her in. I was a spazzy mess but things worked out I guess. Amanda gave us a chocolate fountain as an anniversary gift. That was nice of her.

Then dinner. The first place we went to was too busy so we went someplace else. Then home and katamari and sleep.

The next day we went to the zoo. The baby panda was hiding in the trees. But the zoo got meerkats, which were all very cute. Afterwards, Amanda went to visit another friend while I took the metro home. (We planned it all out, dropping my car off at the station and then we drove in to the city together.)

On the metro I realized I missed the national book festival. Sadness. I completely forgot about it.

Completely exhausted, I still managed to roleplay that night. I played an ex-law student turned ghost catcher. I solved the case!

Sunday I tried to sleep late and then we started laundry and there was tv and video games and naps that I didn't want to take. I kept freaking out because ben seemed mad with everything I did, and I ended up crying to sleep. I spilled cinnamon all over the dryer. :(

Also, there is something really bad smelling in my fridge and I can't find it. Every day I throw something else out, but the smell remains.

And I have so many appointments I have to make and things I have to do. I should have taken care of it sunday but I was so tired and wanted a day to rest. Why does everyone happen all at once?
Went to the zoo today. That was interesting. Went with 2 guys from the anime club. The baby panda was cute. It had a cake made of ice. There's also a baby sloth bear at the zoo which is just as cute. I love baby animals.

When I got home, I slept a lot.

I still haven't heard back from the officer about my dog. I know he doesn't have to talk to me until Tuesday, but I thought he might have some compassion. I'm going to call again tomorrow and hope for the best. Also going to call the shelter to check up on my dog. My parents gave me a new thing to worry about. They said that the shelter might "accidentally" put my dog down, so I should make sure to check up on her a lot. Like I didn't need another thing to worry about. :(

This whole dog thing makes me feel so powerless and depressed. :(
I wonder if anyone would get upset if I start embroidering. I did pretty much everything I was asked to do today. Nothing left but those little fiddly things that are given to me just to keep busy. And I don't want to do anymore of those for fear of running out. I like to spread those out, doing no more than one or two a day, so that I always have something to do each day.

During lunch today I mentioned wanting to see butterstick but having to work around ben's no-weekend schedule this month. It was then suggested that maybe the office will be closed that day, since everyone will be getting back from a summit thing and be really tired anyone. I'm not sure if those are definite plans, but I got myself new panda tickets just in case. I'm glad it'll be a monday because those tickets seem to run out last. There were lots of free time slots. I'll wear my panda hat and darwin shirt and be oh so cool. And maybe there will be cherry blossoms by then too.
Guess who got panda tickets! MEEEEEEE!!!!

Ben and I will get to go on February 12th! Yay!
Poooo, I lose at pandas. After spending an hour fighting with timeouts and filled slots, I am defeated. No panda tickets for me. *sad*
Today's the day they start giving out tickets to see the baby panda. So of course the zoo's site is down. I bet too many people are trying to access it at once.

I'm glad this is a short week because I am very very tired. Went to bed too late I guess. Ben and I were playing City of Villians together until really late. So far I am enjoying it more than warcraft, mostly because there has been little to no lag. Very long load times, but I spent my super gaming years on a playstation, the king of loading.

Oh, and today my grandma goes into surgery for breast cancer. Think happy thoughts for her?
So, a while back a baby panda was born at the national zoo. There was a naming contest, with lots of fancy chinese names. I wanted them to name the panda Butterstick. However, that wasn't one of the choices. I picked Tai Shan instead. I liked how it sounded kinda like Taiwan (The panda is going to be shipped back to China when it gets older.) and also that seemed like a lucky name. I must have been right about the lucky part because that's the name that won.

I have spent the day trying to figure out when they will open the panda to the public. It's by ticket only and I want to reserve mine. Seems right now reservations are only open to Friends of the Zoo.

Scroll down for the panda cam!

Or if he's nowhere to be seen on the cam, here's a video of Butterstick getting a check-up and playing.
