Sailor Soldier of Love and Justice

Yesterday was a good day. Ben took me out shopping. First we went to costco where a jug of jelly beans was purchased. Then the mall where ben bribed me with bubble tea to get me to buy work clothes. After that we went to super h and bought hi-chew and ramune. It was a very successful afternoon.

In the evening we watched tv and played video games. I finally got to see the second pretty cure movie which was terrible as expected. Ben seemed delighted by my anger. :P

Unfortunately I stayed up too late so I was really cranky this morning. Also I had bad nightmares about being alone. I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I nearly missed the bus!

Work was insanely busy this morning. I didn't have time for lunch until 1:30. I was STARVING! And then people kept talking to me. But all I wanted to do was shovel food in my face. :P

After lunch I picked up my thermos with my "secret" word on it. Now I need to find who else in the building has words that compliment "horseshoes." I suspect I'm looking for summer backyard games or something. Either that or the person picking these words was running low on footwear ideas.

The thermos is kinda neat though. I'd been actually thinking of buying a metal thermos. (I read about plastic bottles leaking chemicals into the water and got a little concerned.) And I found out they are also going to give us a blanket, umbrella, keychain, t-shirt, toys, and a few other things. I will be all logo'd up after this retreat.

I went shopping to pick up much needed clothes items. I've decided I hate all those involved in the clothes making and selling process. They make clothes for the very skinny and the very fat, but nothing for people in normal sizes. It's frustrating.

At least there was bubble tea afterwards, so the day was not a complete loss.

Now I'm watching meerkat manor with ben. He must really love me. Aside from this show, he has also let me watch a ton of pretty cure on the living room tv. I have the best boyfriend ever!

Sent packages to katie and billy after I picked ben up from work. They should get there in 3 days if all goes well. Sorry it took me so long to send them!

After that I went home to knit and watch pretty cure. I had to make a run to the store for soft baby yarn. I hate babies, but the yarn made for them feels good to my fingers.

I ended up going to bed early. I had been up until 2 the night before so I was really tired. Not sure when ben went to bed. I didn't even notice he was there until I woke up this morning. I was out cold.

Also, I found this most wonderful blog called Why I Hate DC. Maybe I should make one for Virginia.

It has been raining a lot around here. We've been getting the non-threatening outer edges of all that nasty weather my NOLA friends have been getting. Every day is grey and rainy and blah. It reminds me a bit of my junior year of college, when it seemed to always be grey and rainy and I felt grey and rainy inside.

I'm glad I don't feel that way anymore. Despite all the rain, I am as happy as I could possibly be! :)

When I got home yesterday after work, ben was still asleep. I woke him but he didn't mind. While he was waking up his brain, my dog and I jumped all over the bed trying to get his attention. It was fun and happy and goofy. Ben kept flipping my dog off the bed, but she kept jumping back in. And she kept trying to give us nasty puppy kisses. :P

After ben was awake, we went food shopping. I got fresh cherries! :) Now we have vast amounts of food to eat and won't have to resort to eating the dog. Noname is the emergency food supply.

We had a lazy dinner and watched bad tv until it was time to take ben to work. Took me 7 minutes! New record! :D Then I went back home to watch some Pretty Cure.

I think this weekend shall be a magical girl weekend. I've got pretty cure, pretear, and pgsm to watch! I can do that while ben is sleeping or gaming. I can even watch it on the tv because ben bought us an S-cable! I'm not sure I mentioned it but it is so amazing! It makes whatever I have on my computer appear on the tv! I can watch anime on the big nice tv rather than my little laptop screen. So cool!

Well, back to the personnel manual. ^^;
