May. 25th, 2010 10:09 pmI finally broke 60 sit ups! Woo!
I had been stuck in the 50 range for a while now, but today I did a very respectable 63. Those last 3 were pretty tough though.
My goal is 200, so I can't celebrate too much. I have a long long way to go.

Jan. 16th, 2010 03:39 pmI am totally stuck on paper choices for these stupid stupid thank you cards. I really don't care what paper, but I have this fear that if I use the wrong paper then people will complain to me. I hate when my relatives complain to me.
So my choices are smooth (not shiny, has no texture), smooth uv (shiny, has no texture), or linen (not shiny, is textured). I am leaning to smooth or linen. Smooth uv is hard to recycle due to the gloss put on the paper. But I worry some crazy relatives will want to keep the cards, in which case glossy would be better.
If I go with one of the nonshiny options, I worry that textured will make the pictures look bad. But what if I go with the smooth and my relatives complain to me that it looks cheap?
I feel like no matter what I do, there's going to be a problem. When I know deep down none of it really matters! It's just stupid paper that no one really needs, but wants because of etiquette. Bah.

Jan. 9th, 2010 10:34 pmOk, I took a picture of the terrible beach dress.

There's a terrible bulge under each armpit. And if you look down the center, the center fans at the top do not line up with the fans below it.
To fix both of these problems, I would need to rip everything apart. I definitely can't wear it the way it is now though. It's embarrassing. :( I wish I had noticed how bad the first row looked back when I had just started. I sorta hoped it would fix itself out as I went along. Instead, it became more obvious.

Dec. 31st, 2009 10:02 amI've had a lot of people come to me telling me how miserable their 2009 was. The same people who told me how terrible 2008 was. I think they may be approaching the new year incorrectly. If they're only dwelling on the negatives, they're going to forget all the good things that have happened! And years from now they will think back and wonder where all the time disappeared to.
So let's end this year on a good note so we can start the new one properly!
Good things that happened in 2009 for me:
- Got married to ben! And had a fun wedding with lots of friends there!
- Stopped biting my nails
- Got a raise/mini-promotion
- Started doing yoga, which makes my back feel better
- Fixed noname's teeth, so her bad breath is gone and her energy is back

Dec. 28th, 2009 09:33 amIt is cold like death.
I finished my christmas shopping yesterday. Now I just need to pack and mail things. That is a difficult task when it's this cold.
And I'm not even well dressed for the weather today. Cause I'm insane. I am wearing an outfit similar to one I wore in a dream a few nights ago. It is an outfit better suited to spring or fall. In winter I should be in sweaters and thermals.
I hope today is quiet enough that I can curl up into a ball and die. For now, I think I'll make some hot cocoa.

Dec. 5th, 2009 09:39 pmOn Tuesday, we are having a holiday cookie exchange at work. I will have to make 40 cookies. Originally I was going to make my old fashioned sugar cookies recipe which has always been a hit in the past, but then I found this gingerbread cookie recipe. Now I can't decide!
I took the whole day off Monday to make whatever I do decide on, so time is not an issue.
